Pumpkin Patch!

How many guys does it take to carry the great pumpkin???
For those of you who might wonder why I normally have a large pumpkin on our patio for the majority of the year might like to know that every year my dad grows a huge pumpkin patch with tons of variety pumpkins! Each year we have a big picking and we all claim which one we get - it's quite the event. But where in Southern CA do you get to go pick your pumpkin and where can you find 200+ pound pumpkins. No joke the picture above it took 6 guys to move and load that pumpkin. So here is to an early Happy Halloween! I can't wait for it to be fall! I'm ready for it not to be so hot!

What a fun tradition! Where is his pumpkin patch? I wish we could have a pumpkin out here! They don't seem to sell them at the regular grocery stores, plus I think they would mold REALLY fast! I can't wait for Halloween!

That's hilarious!! Brandon wanted to do the same thing (grow a 200 lb pumpkin) for the kids but ended up killing the pumpkin plant because he left it at work to long!! Happy Early Halloween!!

Danny used to love to grow large pumpkins too. In fact, before I first met him, he and his friends had taken a few of the pumpkins that he'd grew that were head side, scooped them out super thin, carved eyes, nose mouth and actually put them over their heads and that was their costume at a halloween dance!

On another note... thanks for letting bradley crash the "Deacon" party. I know he wasn't supposed to be there but he's been having a tough time adjusting. I super appreciate it!

Hope you're doing well. We SO miss you guys!

What a fun post! Is it already fall there, because it certainly isn't here! :) I'm amazed to hear that you leave a pumpkin on your porch for that long. Do you not like to have visitors?

Ooo, speaking of fall decorating, I need to dig out my fall wreath, since the first day of Autumn is in a couple of weeks. Dustin and I were just talking about how we miss the first cold day of fall, but how we don't miss the snow!
